thankful

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee,
ye must be born again." ~ John 3:6,7
well, He is at it again. God that is. it is amazing how when i ask for something or pray and search for something He follows through ten fold. i have been praying for Him to reveal Himself to me and to be a part of my life, every second of it, and He is. He keeps showing up and placing wonderful thoughts into my head as if the light bulb is finally being turned on or the lens is finally being focused.

i have been noticing His works everyday through the simple things, such as bringing new Christian people into my life and new experiences where i am able to seek Him and come to understand Him more.

i had a date on sunday. we went to dinner and then church and it was wonderful. he is an amazing man who's heart is so on fire for the Lord that is beyond inspiring. after church we went to meet some of his friends from a college group that were meeting at a restaurant. before we got out of the car he did something so foreign and amazing to me. he set a boundary.
 now don't get me wrong, i have had many guys in the past tell me that there intentions were only to be friends, but this of course was after they had taken from me what they wanted.
but not this man. he told me honestly that his intentions were for a friendship because he is not in the place to be dating. then he said something profound. he told me he would like me to continue going to church on sunday and bible study on friday if i would like to, but that he wanted me to only go for the right reason, for God, and not just as a reason to see him.

ladies and gentlemen, this is such a blessing. and yes, ill be honest, at first i was a little discouraged and hurt by this boundary. but once i prayed, the Lord set a wonderful thought into my head, or turned on the light bulb if you will. this will be the perfect friendship for me. i need to completely center my life on God and He needs to be my main focus right now, but i can also build a friendship in the mean time which will serve as a wonderful example of a healthy male relationship, one that will glorify Christ, and not the flesh. one that may develop into something more down the road, or may not. but a chance for me to see that there are good men out there and that i can see an example of a Godly-man, one that can challenge me spiritually.
it has yet again been a wonderful way of God introducing good people into my life and healthy situations and experiences in which i can grow in my relationship with Him. and for that i am thankful.

prayer requests (there's a lot today): that i may continue on this refining process towards being born again. that i may seek the Lord in all that i am and that my intentions of doing so be pure. that i continue to become the woman God intended me to be. that i will develop more relationships/friendships with good people that He brings into my life. that i will be a good example for my family and that through my growth they seek Him and the relationship i am growing with Him. that my sister can witness my changes and that she may gain a desire to be like me and in Gods image. that i will be patient. that i will be a good friend and a better listener. and that i continue to see Him and recognize His works in me daily.
