whats in a name?

i look like i have a funny tast in my mouth

the name Brianna means strong one.

i actually wrote my senior essay for college applications about the meaning of my name. growing up i used to think strong one meant strong willed. those of you that know me well enough and have heard stories from my childhood, know i was the epitome of a strong willed child. tantrums so bad my mom would leave me in stores and walk by saying "who would let their child cry like that in public" because she was too embarresed to claim me.

once i grew older, i started to realize that "strong one" actually means strong as in endurance. no not my muscles or my bench-pressing skills. but strength to endure all that i have gone through in my life. the strength to deal with all my many set backs and still shine. i don't know many people that would be able to experience half the shit (pardon my french) that i have gone through and still be smiling.

the basis behind this blog for those of you totally confused about now. the moral of the story if you will, is please pray for me, and my family. it is one of those challenges in which my strength of endurance is being tested and i could use a few more people in my corner of the ring.

Hey there,
No need to pardon your French, that's my major. ;)

Hey, I don't know you personally, just a blog buddy, but I'm here for you. And now I can pray for you by name! :)

Cute pictures, btw!!

May I suggest a book? It's called Don't Sweat the Small Stuff (And it's all small stuff) by Richard something or other. Just go to www.dontsweat.com and find more. This book has really inspired me to have peace in my life, and for me, peace is essential in order to keep going strong.

Sometimes having endurance and being happy means getting rid of self-will or our stubborness. Not all of it though. That's just crazy. But perhaps "softening our edges". The strongest people in my life are the quieter, more grateful and kinder people I know.

Hang in there, and don't let anyone steal your sunshine!

Btw, do you know anything about plants?
